4 Nations: Day Three Preview

3 August, 2023

The world’s best para badminton players will take to the court again on day three of the 4 Nations Para Badminton International in Sheffield.

World number one takes on world number two in the women’s WH1 singles as Sarina Satomi and Man-Kei To go head to head.

An early morning encounter that is sure to get the EIS shaking, the two women will battle it out for a semi-final spot.

Japan’s Satomi is yet to lose in Sheffield, whereas To suffered a shock round two defeat to Thailand’s Sujirat Pookham.

Pookham will face Austria’s Henriett Koosz in her quarterfinal setup.

Another top seed will be in action as Jung Man Choi takes on Germany’s Thomas Wandschneider in the men’s WH1 singles.

The South Korean world number one is the heavy favourite in Sheffield but will face a tough battle against Wandschneider who has continued to show his strength this tournament.

Teammate will take on teammate in the SL3 women’s singles as India’s Parul Salsukhbhai Parmar and Mandeep Kaur battle it out in the quarterfinals.

Kaur is top seed heading into the event but will face a red-hot form Parmar who will be looking to stamp her own name at the EIS.

After storming to victory in their group stages, home heroes Jack Shephard and Rachel Choong will face Miles Krajewski and Jayci Simon in the SH6 mixed doubles.

Both duos will come into the match on a high after a successful day two in Sheffield.
