4 Nations: Day Two Preview

Several leading contenders at the 4 Nations Para Badminton International will be back in action at the EIS on Thursday on a busy Day 2 of action.
Paralympic champion and WH1 women’s singles top seed Sarina Satomi will continue her campaign, playing Brazilian opposition in the form of Daniele Torres Souza in one of the earlier matches of the day.
The Japanese star will also be playing doubles alongside Yuma Yamazaki in Sheffield, the top seeded pairing taking on Peru’s Jaquelin Karina Burgos Javier and Pilar Jauregui.
Second seed Man Kei-To is also in round robin action on Thursday, with the Belgian up against Israel’s Nina Gorodetzky in her latest match.
Meanwhile, fellow leading contenders Kwon Hyunah and Cynthia Mathez will also be back on court, facing Henriett Koosz and Auricelia Nunes Evangelista respectively.
The event SH6 mixed doubles also sees the top seeds take to court in the form of Subhan Subhan and Rina Marlina.
The Indonesians are up against Hector Jesus Salva Tunque and Rubi Milagros Fernandez Vargas, looking to justify their tag as pre-event favourites.
Third seeds and home favourites Jack Shephard and Rachel Choong also return to court after a busy Wednesday, with French pairing Charles Noakes and Elisa Bujnowskyj their opposition.
In the WH2 men’s singles event, top seed Daiki Kajiwara and second Kim Jung Jun will hope that they can safely seal progression from the round robin matches into the knockout phase.
Kajiwara plays Jamie Aranguiz of Chile on Thursday, while Korean star Jun is up against Thai opponent Dumnern Junthong in his latest group stage contest.
Another set of top seeds in action are French shuttlers Lucas Mazur and Faustine Noel, who continue their round robin campaign in the SL3 mixed doubles.
Mazur and Noel take on India’s Raj Kumar and Parul Dalsukhbhai Parmar in their quest to reach the knockout stages.
